Virgil Culver is a former homeschooling father of four. He and his wife, Jan, were founding members of the local homeshool association many years ago. They have maintained an interest in SCHE over the years, first through their own childrens’ participation and later through family friends and, most recently, through the participation of their grandchildren. Virgil holds university degrees and worked for many years in a university environment. He retired from his position as the Assistant to the President and Director of the Mississippi Community Action Team at Mississippi State University in 2010. He is one of the leaders in his church and understands the importance of being wise and discerning in making life choices, particularly at this critical juncture for our graduates.
