Joel Trafton Phillips is the son of Maureen Phillips and the late Randy Phillips. He is the youngest of thirteen children and has been homeschooled all of his life.
He loves spending time with his family and friends and enjoys rodeos with his brothers where he rides Ranch Broncs.
He enjoyed his time playing Mustang football, baseball, Eagles basketball, basketball with Starkville Christian School his senior year, and 4-H shooting sports. After graduation, Lord willing, his short-term goals are to work with his brothers’ window business and, also, to intern at a ranch in Colorado.
His long-term goal is to start a ranch so that he can mentor boys without fathers to be men of God. At the age of seven, shortly after his Dad died, Joel trusted Christ as his Savior, and the Lord has since proven Himself faithful many times.
One of his life verses is “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him” (Nahum 1:7).
