Arista Joy Rodriguez is the daughter of Marcus and Somer Rodriguez from French Camp, Mississippi.
She has four siblings. Arista has been homeschooled from kindergarten through senior year with the exception of eighth grade when she attended French Camp Academy.
She attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College online during the first semester of her senior year and is looking forward to graduation.
Arista worked for Lost Gringos Coffeehouse in French Camp before it changed ownership. She now continues to be a barista at The Sip in French Camp.
Arista enjoys reading historical fiction and retellings of fairy tales, listening to music, writing her first novel, and caring for horses.
Her interests lie in American history, civil rights, and the law. Because of this, she is looking forward to voting for the first time in this year’s presidential election.
Her favorite bible verse is “Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10).
