Michael Lane and his wife, Beth, have been blessed with five children: three sons and two daughters. They have had the privilege and joy of homeschooling their children for the past nineteen years. With their four eldest currently in college, their last lass is the only remaining homeschooler as she forges through her high school trek.
Michael hails from Marion, SC and attended Francis Marion University where he received bachelor’s degrees in computer science and mathematics. After working in the banking industry for a number of years, a door was opened to come to MSU. God has been gracious to have directed their path here.
Michael has been blessed to have the opportunity to serve as a board member for the Starkville Christian Home Educators. He also helped organize the SCHE robotics team and had the pleasure of working with students in the program over the course of thirteen years. Michael currently works for MSU in IT within the Bagley College of Engineering. He is very thankful for the opportunity to be the speaker for the graduating class of 2023.
1Peter 4:10: As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
