“Jacob Phillips grew up in Tibbee, MS and was homeschooled k-12 before attending Mississippi State University on an ROTC scholarship, where he majored in kinesiology.
After commissioning into the Army, he became a cavalry officer in the First Infantry Division and deployed to Iraq from his home base of Fort Riley, KS.
After the Army, he worked in management in industrial environments until 2018.
Since then he’s worked as a voice actor and voiceover coach from his home studio, where he produces a literature podcast and YouTube channel called The Cultured Bumpkin.
He lives in Starkville with his wife Mary Elizabeth, and their 4 children and 13 chickens.”
