Laura Hope Belk, daughter of Ed and Gale Belk, is the youngest of two. She was homeschooled from kindergarten to junior year when she started dual enrollment at East Mississippi Community College and since being there she has been accepted into Phi Theta Kappa. Laura enjoys singing, writing, watching movies, going to Mississippi State Baseball games, and playing with her nephew. Her first love was music, and she plans to go into music production after she graduates. She loves to sing and play the guitar. She was in the SCHE choir for most of her school years and she sang with her youth group praise team. She attends church at Bridgeway Church and youth group at Pinelake. Her girls’ small group is where her heart is.
Her favorite Bible verse is “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
