Wynn Bishop Oakley is the son of Nathan and Deborah Oakley and the second of five children. He enjoys reading, traveling with family, playing board games, studying military history, baking browned-butter chocolate chip cookies, and spending time outdoors.
Wynn has played euphonium for eight years with the Starkville Homeschool Music Cooperative, and he is a member of the brass ensemble, the student choir, and the youth group worship ensemble at First Presbyterian Church of Jackson.
Wynn has also served as a leader in Trail Life USA and as a volunteer for Operation Christmas Child and the Mississippi Children's Museum President's Leadership Circle.
Selected as a 2022 National Merit Finalist, Wynn has been accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine Early Entry Program at Mississippi State University where he plans to pursue an undergraduate degree in biochemistry before attending vet school.
Wynn has long loved Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
