Joshua Phillips

Joshua (Josh) William Tobin Phillips is the 11th child and 7th son of Maureen Phillips and the late Randy Phillips.

He has loved being homeschooled his whole life, and having the chance to participate in sports; playing Mustang Football, Eagles Basketball, Golden Triangle Knights Baseball, and 4-H Shotgun. Spending time with his family, working out, tinkering on vehicles, and hunting are also things he enjoys in his free time.

He is currently dual-enrolled at EMCC and hopes to return in the fall. He is seeking the Lord’s will about going on to State and possibly fulfilling his dream of walking onto the MSU football team.

Joshua has many goals in life, but his most important one is that everyone would hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and that they would be encouraged to continually seek the Lord and His Word!

One of the truths that Joshua continually refers back to is 2 Corinthians 12:24 “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”

Jeremiah 29:11-13

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Proverbs 3:5-10

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

Ephesians 2:10

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
